Visual Studio Quick Tips 2 – Change the interface language

I found that if you know multiple languages, you may have issues if you’ve installed the IDE in English or in another language and are not really familiar with that particular language or would just like to have the interface in your first language.

Fortunately, it’s possible to change the interface language of Visual Studio and it’s really easy!

1. First thing you will want to do is to start Visual Studio and go into Tools -> Options.

Language Visual Studio Options

2. Click on the tab International Settings and then on Get additional languages.

VS Options

This will lead you to a download page from the Microsoft website. You can then select your language of preference and download the pack. Please note that you will have to close Visual Studio to install the language pack.
